A next step in the exceeding of some fixing of the boundaries. This installation is dedicated to the questions about identity, which „next code “-initiator Martin Krusche places across our assumptions of „Orient “and „Occident“. More exactly: across those cultural fields, whose reciprocal effects let today's Europe become, what it is.

Latinity, Orthodoxy and Islam are the historical backgrounds, against those differences but none „clash of the cultures “open. The international quartet, by which this event is realized, understands difference as quality, which inspires to exciting work. Whereby straight in the difference of what distinguished culture becomes discoverable also common ground, which receives so special contrasts.

Ein nächster Schritt im Überschreiten einiger Grenzziehungen. Diese Installation ist den Fragen nach Identität gewidmet, die „next code“-Initiator Martin Krusche quer durch unsere Annahmen von „Orient“ und „Okzident“ stellt. Genauer: quer durch jene kulturellen Felder, deren Wechselwirkungen das heutige Europa werden ließen, was es ist.

Latinität, Orthodoxie und Islam sind die historischen Hintergründe, vor denen sich zwar Differenzen, aber kein „Kampf der Kulturen“ auftun. Das internationale Quartett, von dem diese Station realisiert wird, versteht Differenz als Qualität, die zu spannenden Arbeiten anregt. Wobei gerade in der Verschiedenheit kultureller Prägungen auch Gemeinsames auffindbar wird, das so besondere Kontraste erhält.
