log #179: next code: asking

In terms of the "Gutenberg Galaxy" this would be the last chapter of the third book. The "third book" means "next code", following two books of "the long distance howl". The "fist book" was titled "the junction", the second "the cybertrail".

I started the first version of "next code" in 2005: [link] The work in progress lead me to Istanbul in 2006, where this part was established as the "third book": [link] You can find an overview of those steps here: [link] (The first projects)

By the way: it was allways like exploring South and East a little bit. Moments like this, when I went to Vienna with the "SPLITTERWERK"-Crew for a session at the "Bene- Forum" -- "next code: passion". I did a little tribute to Andrej Monastyrskij and the "Moscow Conceptualists".

This ongoing narration is not told that straight. Sometimes I get lost, but that does not matter. On Page #140 (german) of this logbook I noted that little invitation, Wilfried Prantner sent me then. "Das jugoslawische Labyrinth" ("The Jugoslavian Labyrinth") were two events on literature and one on visual arts in the 1980ies and 90ies. [the book]

I also mentioned "Art Radio"-pioneer Heidi Grundmann and media theorist Reinhard Braun, who featured a book on "radio art" at the "Medienkunstlabor": [link] This are some of the coordinates for "next code: asking".

In August 2009 there was an exhibition of art from Serbia at the "Kuenstlerhaus" in Graz: "real presence". An opportunity, to meet Zivko "Gera" Grodzanic and Nikola Dzafo again. We did a little session then: [link] Not only the "Cover Your Eyes"-thing, also a "MTV"-set: [link]

This moment of "Cover Your Eyes" is related to the "ledART"-situation ("ice art"), we realized at the river Mur. (I will tell about the historical implications of "ledART" later.)

This follows some sessions, we did in 2008 at Gleisdorf, Weiz and Graz: [link] So you might imagine, what I am asking for, cause "My Europe" is much bigger than the "EU-Europe" ...
