„next code: love“

The project examines the conditions of love in their private, social, cultural, temporal and identity-donating context. Can we meet those statements, which go beyond such linkages with this term, which is shaped by our culturally caused reality, that a new understanding of love could be created?

With „next code: love “ we want to take up artistic considerations about love, which are also historically conditioned. We want to reflect the cultural practices connected with the topic love, up to romantic-utopian conceptions. At the same time we want to open a scope of discourse, which tie in with cultural, social and even political forms … just as private memories, dreams and material of everyday life.

Artists from different cultures, from the habitat, which we marked with the points Vienna, Beograd and Istanbul, cooperate during a long-term process.

In a continuing development of interdisciplinary procedures we spend time on the topic love and we will present / perform our results in a mixture of presentations, lectures and actions on location. As suport program we prepare a set of performances, in which genre-movies are shown to the topic from the regions mentioned.
