Was ist „next code“?

Martin Krusches „next code“ ist ein internationales Kunstprojekt, das gleichermaßen im „Realraum“ und im „vituellen Raum“ umgesetzt wird; also in der Welt der greifbaren Dinge und in EDV-gestützten Netzwerken.

„next code“ entfaltet sich aus einem mehrjährigen Prozeß heraus, ist „work in progress“, wobei laufend Stationen im „Realraum“ absolviert werden, die man im Internet dokumentiert findet.

Das Genre heißt „art under net conditions“, also: Kunst unter Bedingungen der Vernetzung. Dabei spielen traditionelle Kunstformen keineswegs eine geringere Rolle gegenüber den sogenannten „Neuen Medien“, sondern sind von tragender Bedeutung.

Der „kultur.at: verein für medienkultur“ ist im Kontext „Neue Medien“ eine der profiliertesten Kulturinitiativen Österreichs. Einschlägige Aktivitäten gehen auf die Jahre 1995 / 96 zurück; siehe: www.kultur.at/v/base/histo.htm

In „next code“ verknüpfen wir verschiedene Disziplinen, um künstlerischen, kulturellen und sozialgeschichtlichen Fragestellungen Europas nachzugehen, um die Resultate dieser Prozesse schließlich in Vorträgen, Ausstellungen und Aktionen vorzulegen. (Martin Krusche)

Martin Krusches „next code “is an international art project, which is converted equally in the „analogue space“ and in „cyberspace “; thus in the world of the manifest items and in EDP-based networks.

„next code “unfolds from a process of several years, is „work in progresses “, whereby constantly stations in the „analogue space“ get realized, which one finds documented in the Internet.

The category is called „art under net conditions “. Traditional art forms play by no means a smaller role in relation to the so-called „new media “, but are of basic importance.

„kultur.at: verein für medienkultur (an austrian association for medium culture) is in the context „new media“ one of the most formed culture initiatives of Austria. Relevant activities go back to the years 1995/96.

In „next code “we link different disciplines, in order to follow to artistic, cultural and socialhistorical questions of Europe, in order to finally submit the results of these processes in lectures, exhibitions and actions. (Martin Krusche)
