Die Veranstaltungsreihe in Gleisdorf

Das Projekt „next code: love“ ist Teil eines mehrjährigen Prozesses. Der dabei herausgestellte Themenschwerpunkt für 2007 („Liebe“) wird in der oststeirischen Stadt Gleisdorf quer durchs Jahr realisiert. Wobei die Hauptveranstaltung von „next code: love“ im Rahmen des „steirischen herbstes“ stattfinden wird.

Das Vorhaben ist auf die Art zugleich ein kulturpolitisches Novum in der Region, weil es sich nicht in einem einzigen Event erschöpft. Der Reihencharakter dient neben der primären künstlerischen Arbeit auch der Vermittlung. So sollen Menschen der Region an das Thema Gegenwartskunst herangeführt werden und sich selbst in das Rahmenprogramm einbringen.

Basis des gesamten Paketes ist eine wachsende Kooperation, in der die drei Sektoren „Staat / Markt / Zivilgesellschaft“ gebündelt werden. Politik und Verwaltung der Stadt Gleisdorf kooperieren vor Ort mit dem privaten „kultur.at: verein für medienkultur“, dazu kommen Verknüpfungen mit lokalen Geschäftsleuten. (Martin Krusche)
